the nomadic existential space
Melbourne, Australia (2015)
The existential space is a perceptual field that constitutes of symbol value of concrete things. The symbol value of things unveils their social meaning. Art and architecture should be designed based on common basis and reflect on social issues. The unveiling process, from concrete things to symbol values, does not reflect man’s needs and wants alone, instead it is a result of their interactions with the environment. The environment constitutes of four interconnected levels, landscape, urban, house and object. The world we perceive in an existential space is updating in a real-time analysis. We are all nomads living this existential space.
